With SmartEdit and SmartModel to an interactive employee portal

Gunvor Raffinerie Ingolstadt GmbH uses the Aeneis features SmartEdit and SmartModel to transform the BPM portal from a pure presentation interface to an interactive employee portal. The modeling of processes and the maintenance of all master data can now be carried out entirely via the BPM portal. Monitoring and compliance can also be supported interactively via the portal in the future.

Über das Unternehmen

Gunvor Raffinerie Ingolstadt is part of the Gunvor Group, one of the world's largest independent commodity traders with various locations and companies for the trading, transportation, storage and optimization of oil and other energy products. In this network, the Gunvor Refinery in Ingolstadt is one of the most powerful refineries in Europe.

Some things are priceless.
The ability to provide colleagues with a complete and partially interactive business model including processes, organization, risk management, compliance and monitoring through audits quickly, flexibly and with little use of resources as a kind of knowledge database makes Aeneis an important tool for us to obtain a transparent view of our company. With the planned use of the strategy component, the vision of the future corporate model should then also be developed and supported.

Gunvor employees receive targeted information that is important to them and can actively edit content.

Direct editing of content in individual portal views

In the Gunvor Refinery BPM portal, information can be viewed and edited directly

User-oriented interfaces of the Gunvor refinery BPM portal
Employees are automatically logged on to the Aeneis BPM portal via SingleSignOn. You receive important cross-company information, such as a process map, organizational chart, documents, instructions and search functionalities for all objects. In addition, however, every person involved in the process can also view specific, personalized information.

Individual views for more efficient work
For example, the Gunvor Refinery BPM portal offers employees an additional personalized view of the refinery's day-to-day business. In this optional view, employees are only shown information that is relevant to their very specific area. This enables employees to search very precisely and quickly for sector-specific documents that are required in their daily work. Responsibilities in division-specific process and organizational structure can also be viewed in this personalized view.

Interactively edit portal content
Through two functions of the Aeneis BPM portal, SmartEdit and SmartModel, Gunvor Refinery employees are now also actively involved in designing their work processes. This is because it allows them to easily and intuitively edit the content via a browser even without an Aeneis client. There is no training cost for this. The authorizations for this can be set using fine-grained rights management.

Decentralized master data maintenance and process modelling
Employees can now provide detailed descriptions of their work processes directly in the BPM portal and update them without delay in the event of changes.

Process-oriented management system with automatic update

The next planned expansion stage of the Gunvor Refinery employee portal is a complete, process-oriented integrated management system. In future, agents and management will be able to manage and review regulations, decisions and requirements in a workflow-based and database-based manner via an intuitive interface. Employees will be able to view their responsibilities and regulations to be complied with in their processes and should be automatically notified of upcoming adjustments.

Benefits for Gunvor Refinery

  • Interaction in the portal creates process awareness among employees

  • Transparent set of rules with links to processes and departments
