Christoph Kroschke GmbH is headquartered in Ahrensburg and is a leading service provider for vehicle registration. The company supports private and business customers as well as car dealerships with registrations, deregistrations, and other automotive services. For its holistic and successful implementation, Christoph Kroschke GmbH was recognized during the Process Solution Awards in 2020 in the category "Overall Solutions for Integrated Management Systems and GRC."
The project focused on the introduction of a web-based company portal called "Gecko". This creates a central platform for the execution and integrated management of all company processes.
The goal of the project was to retain existing customers long-term while simultaneously acquiring new customers through a fully digitized customer journey. Conversely, this means a consistent digitalization of their business model as well as a stronger customer focus through active process orientation.
The company was aware that this strategic objective of complete digitalization required an integrated management system, including ISO 27001 certification required. To successfully implement this new strategy, several key challenges had to be addressed simultaneously. The company wanted to systematically secure process knowledge, identify and realize optimization potential more quickly, and ensure a high level of process reliability. At the same time, clear process responsibilities were to be established and the organization's ability to adapt was to be strengthened. Another essential aspect was the consistent linking of business processes with various IT systems in order to drive digitalization forward in a sustainable manner.
With the introduction of Aeneis, Christoph Kroschke GmbH developed the central corporate portal "Gecko," which serves as an integrative platform for processes, management systems, and GRC requirements. In the "Gecko Portal," all business processes were systematically collected, modeled, and structured along a company-wide process map . The DMAIC cycle, among other methods, was used to not only document processes but also to continuously analyze and improve them.
A key added value of the portal lies in the consistent linking of processes with IT systems, risks, and responsibilities. This allows, for example, the impact of changes to be immediately understood and managed. At the same time, employees are actively involved in process design and receive role-based access to all information relevant to them.
With the Gecko Portal their own process landscape has been sustainably transformed and the defined corporate goals have been successfully achieved. Today, the processes are fully transparent, standardized, and interconnected. Employees can access up-to-date process knowledge, responsibilities are clearly defined, and compliance with regulatory requirements is systematically ensured. These optimized processes led to the initial ISO 27001 certification being passed without any non-conformities .
In addition to qualitative improvements, measurable economic effects were also achieved. Thanks to the user-friendly operation of Aeneis and the content-related support from Intellior, the introduction of "Gecko" resulted in an efficiency increase of ten percent according to the customer. The effort required to introduce new customer processes was even reduced by up to thirty percent. In addition, the better integration of IT systems led to efficiency gains in development and error analysis, allowing for further time savings to be realized.
