Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus Dresden (university hospital in Dresden) provides medical care at the highest level and covers the entire spectrum of modern medicine. The university hospital combines 25 clinics and polyclinics, seven institutes and 19 interdisciplinary centers, which work closely with the clinical and theoretical institutes of the Faculty of Medicine. The spatial and technical equipment of the university hospital is constantly being updated. At the end of 2018, the new house 32 was opened, which, in addition to the surgical emergency room, houses 17 ultra-modern operating rooms, an intensive care unit, interdisciplinary outpatient clinics and 132 beds spread over four care wards.
With 1,410 beds and 201 places for day hospital treatment of patients, it is one of Saxony's largest hospitals and at the same time the only hospital offering maximum care in East Saxony. The catchment area ranges from Görlitz to Glauchau, from Bad Brambach to Hoyerswerda.
At Dresden University Hospital, around 1,000 doctors cover the entire spectrum of modern medicine. 2,000 nurses care about the well-being of patients.
In addition to its central purpose, health care, Dresden University Hospital also fulfils the tasks of training, and continuing education of medical staff as well as in public health.
During the corona pandemic, we had to introduce, communicate and constantly adapt new processes in hospitals at very short notice. Aeneis helped us tremendously back then. Processes could be implemented quickly, were centrally available and, above all, clearly arranged. The flowcharts with clearly defined responsibilities have made management much easier for us. During this time, Aeneis experienced a real boom internally because it simply worked quickly and efficiently.
Our audit management is going really well with Aeneis. In the past, we required an enormous amount of paper, but now we have all measures under control and can see exactly which tasks are still pending in the individual clinics. In addition, we receive exactly the audit reports we need and can efficiently implement the requirements of DIN ISO 9001:2015, DIN ISO 13485:2021 and other standards — without additional stress.
Thanks to Aeneis, we were able to significantly reduce manual effort and improve clarity at the same time. For us, this means more time for our patients and more focus on our core medical business.
